PASADENA, CA / ACCESS Newswire / August 4, 2026 / Whittier Trust, the oldest multi-family office headquartered on the West Coast, is pleased to welcome Kimberly Shepherd to its Board of Directors.

Shepherd joins Whittier Trust with a distinguished record of board leadership across some of Southern California's most respected institutions, spanning healthcare, higher education, and family philanthropy. Her appointment reflects Whittier Trust's continued commitment to thoughtful growth, multigenerational leadership, and serving families with the highest standard of care.

"Whittier Trust has always believed that stewardship is about more than managing assets. It's about helping families sustain purpose, legacy, and impact across generations," said David Dahl, CEO of Whittier Trust. "Kimberly's perspective as a family steward and community leader reflects that same belief, and we are honored to strengthen our board with her expertise and experience."

Shepherd currently serves as a Trustee of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where she previously served on its Board of Directors and Safety and Quality Committee. She is active with her alma mater, the University of Southern California, serving on the President's Leadership Council, the Keck of USC Board of Councilors, and the USC Capital Campaign Committee. She also founded the Marshall Torch Society at the USC Marshall School of Business.

Shepherd carries forward a multigenerational legacy of entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Her grandfather, H. Leslie Hoffman, founder of Hoffman Electronics, and her grandmother, Elaine Stevely Hoffman, established the Hoffman Foundation, helping shape both Los Angeles' electronics industry and its philanthropic community. Shepherd now serves as Director of the Hoffman Foundation, where she supports governance, family engagement, financial oversight, and multigenerational stewardship.

A testament to her commitment to philanthropy, Shepherd has held leadership and fundraising roles with Polytechnic School, Kidspace Children's Museum, Pasadena Children's Guild, and Young Presidents' Organization, among others.

As Whittier Trust continues to serve families across generations, Shepherd's experience in governance, philanthropy, and family stewardship will bring valuable perspective to the firm's continued growth and commitment to client service.
